Some interesting facts about Islam:

• "Islam" means "peace through the submission to God".


• "Muslim" means "anyone or anything that submits itself to the will of God".

• Islam is not a cult. Its followers number over 1.5 billion worldwide. Along with Judaism and Christianity, it is considered to be one of the three Abrahamic traditions.

• Islam is a complete way of life that governs all facets of life: moral, spiritual, social, political, economical, intellectual, etc.

• Islam is one of the fastest growing religions in the world. To become Muslim, a person of any race or culture must say a simple statement, the shahadah, that bears witness to the belief in the One God and that Prophet Muhammad was the last prophet of God.

• "Allah" is an Arabic word that means "God". Muslims also believe that "Allah" is the personal name of God.

• Muslims neither worship Muhammad nor pray through him. Muslims solely worship the unseen and Omniscient Creator, Allah.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) reported that the devil said to God: "I shall continue to lead Thy servants astray as long as their spirits are in their bodies." And God replied: "(Then) I shall continue to pardon them as long as they ask for My forgiveness." [Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 742]

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If anyone continually asks pardon, Allah will appoint for him a way out of every distress, and a relief from every anxiety, and will provide for him from where he did not reckon.[Abu Dawud Book 8, Number 1513])

Abu al-Aswad Al-Du'ali (Arabic: ??? ?????? ???????) (c.603–688) was a close companion of Ali ibn Abi Talib and grammarian. He was the first to place dots on Arabic letters and the first to write on Arabic linguistics[1]. He educated many students[2].

The three white days of this month will be on April 17, 18, and 19.

Jareer ibn ‘Abdullaah radhiyallaahu ‘anh narrated that the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam said: “Fasting three days of each month is fasting for a lifetime, and ayaam al-beed are the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth.” (Narrated by al-Nasaa’i (2420); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, (1040)).

Abu Dharr radhiyallaahu ‘anh said: The Messenger of Allaah sallallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam said to me: “If you fast any part of the month, then fast the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth.” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, (761); al-Nasaa’i, (2424); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, (1038)).

Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “My close friend [i.e., the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)] advised me to do three things which I will never give up until I die: fasting three days each month, praying Duha, and sleeping after praying Witr.” (al-Bukhaari, 1178; Muslim, 721).

The Messenger of Allaah sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said:
‘Shall I not tell you of something that will take away the evil of the heart? Fasting three days of each month.’ (an-Nisaa’i 2/2386)
